Storms and intercession

As we consider the tornadoes which have killed nearly 200 people in the Deep South -- following last week's severe storms which killed nearly 100 more -- there's a sense not just of grief but frustration for those of us hundreds and thousands of miles away, wanting to do something.

Let's not forget that we who are in Christ have the authority and the responsibility to intercede before God for people we've never met, in places we've never been to. We talked about that at Gospel Mission, of all places, after the Japan earthquake and tsunami, and this might whet our purpose again.
